Das Generalcapitel gestattet dem Abte von Heiligenkreuz für seine Person bei den Abtwahlen, die er leitet, alle ihm untergebenen Ordensmitglieder zu absolvieren und zu rehabilitieren, damit sie das active und passive Wahlrecht genießen könnten.

Nos frater Hymbertus abbas Cistercii ceterique diffinitores capituli generalis cisterciensis ordinis notum facimus universis, quod in eodem capitulo generali die XIIII mensis septembris anno domini millesimo CCCCmo sexagesimo sexto apud Cistercium celebrato facta fuit quaedam diffinitio, cujus tenor sequitur et est talis. Generale capitulum pro consideratione nec non providens pericula, quae saepenumero in abbatum electionibus contingere possint, et his pro viribus remedium apponere cupiens, abbati de sancta cruce concedit, ut in sua persona quorumlibet dumtaxat electionibus praesidens omnes et singulas ordinis personas eidem subjectas absolvere et rehabilitare possit et valeat ad eligendum et electionis beneficium obtinendum active et passive in plenaria ordinis potestate. Datum sub sigillo diffinitorum ejusdem capituli generalis, anno, die, mense, quibus supra.
