    Quo mense aprili migrante, abbas Hugo, sánete recordationis, eodem anno precedentem ad Deum subsequitur. Cujus obitus tali miraculo illi prenunciatur. Quidam ruricola, in proximo terram co- lens, prope se pre oculis vidit quasi quamdam connivantium multi- tudinem transiré. Quem dum unus ex transeuntibus interrogaret, cujus terra esset, respondit sancti Petri, Hugonisque, abbatis Clunia- eensis esse. « Mea, inquit, terra est; meus est et abbas. Sed vade, die « ei ut instet operi bono, quia finis vite imminet ei de proximo. » Homo paruit, dictum non tacuit, mors in brevi evenit, veramque visionem esse probavit. ,Unde conjectum est ab audientjbus bujus- modi mandato sanctum Petrum rustico apjparuisse, sanctique viri obitum prenunciasse. Qui cujus sanctitatis fuerit, gesta vite ipsius a nonnullis studiose conscripta satis declarant; quantave dignitatis
