    Hasteriensis cenobii quidam fratrum se nobis presentaverunt

    et, quod eorum aecclesia multis modis per vos minoratur et bona ipsius per negligentiam vestram contra licitum distrahun- tur, multum conquesti sunt. Quoniam igitur illius ecclesiae providentia ad nostrum spectat honorem et illius defensio nobis specialiter incumbit, vobis precipiendo mandamus, quatinus in proxima Metensi synodo, quae sequenti septimana post missam omnium sanctorum1 celebratur, vos cum ipsis monachis ante presentiam nostram, omni remota occasione, veniatis: quatinus, audita utriusque partis calumnia et defensione, utrimque servata equitate, inter vos nostra iudicet discretio. Precipimus insuper, quod inter eundum et redeundum monachis conquerentibus ne- cessaria stipendia ministrare non recuset vestra provisio.
