    WIBALDI EPISTOLAE 398. 399. 531

post multas ammonitiones et preces nostras, scilicet ne gregem 1152 sibi commissum desereret, heremiticae tamen vitae labores ag- gresso, ut ipse tunc asserebat se habere in animo — venera- bilem fratrem domnum H(einricum), monasterii vestri priorem, abbatem sibi unanimiter elegerunt. Vestram itaque paternitatem intime oramus et exoratam esse toto animi desiderio cupimus, quatinus ipsum eis clementer concedatis, novelle plantationis nostre notam vobis necessitatem benigna miseratione attendentes. Qui si vestra permissione propriaque benignitate oblati oneris cure se summittere voluerit, in omnibus eum consolari eique assistere et fideliter opitulari studebimus.
