Omnibus sancte ecclesie filiis presentibus et futuris Rogerus de Mubraia salutem Sciatis me dedisse et hac mea carta confirmasse Deo et monachis Sancte Marie de Fontibus in puram et perpetuam elemosinam omnes feras et aves totius foreste de Birnebem ad infirmatoria sua Hanc donationem feci eis solutam quietam et liberam ab omni servicio et consuetudine de me et omnibus heredibus meis imperpetuum et ita in propriam possessionem quod nec nos nec aliquis alius per nos de re aliqua infra predictam forestam se intromittet Sed predicti monachi habebunt custodiam foreste et ferarum et avium que in ea fuerint per suos proprios forestarios sine omni retinemento mei vel heredum meorum Facta autem fuit hec carta ad Fontes in hospicio die purificationis Sancte Marie anno incarnationis Domini mclxxx Hii sunt testes Willelmus de Vesci Galterus de Boelebec Radulfus de Bavveir
