43. Record of the agreement between William de Stuteville and William de Mowbray, by which the latter gave to the former 12 librates of land and the service of 9 enfeoffed knights, together with the service of 10 knights' fees which the former had pre viously held of the latter's tenure in chief; for which gift William de Stuteville quitclaimed all right against William de Mowbray in respect of his entire barony, and against Roland de Galloway and his wife, and in particular against William de Mowbray in respect of the latter's lands in Axholme, co. Lincoln; Crick, co. Northampton; Langford, co. Nottingham; Thirsk, Kirkby Malzeard, Coxwold, Coxwoldshire, Hovingham, Welburn, and Burton, co. York; Monks Kirby, and Hampton-in-Arden, co. Warwick; Melton Mowbray, co. Leicester, and `Laxinton', [?] co. Leicester; and against Roland de Galloway and his wife in respect of Burton-in-Lonsdale, co.
