Date: Date- This agreement was made before the date from which the agreement was to run. The reference to a Forest Eyre is puzzling- neither the Patent nor Close Rolls refer to one that year although in 1230 three of the Justices mentioned (but not Walter of Preston) made an eyre in Northants (CCR. 1227-31, 238). The same three perambulated the forest in Notts. and many counties in 1224 and subsequently (Turner, Select Pleas of the Forest, Selden Soc., 13, 1901, xcvii, note 2). A.D. Feast
