23 Confirmation by Herbert Poore, bishop of Salisbury, after inspecting the charter of Prior William, of the resignation by the Priory of their claims to the tithes of Robert de Mara the clerk in Stanford-in-the- Vale (Bk.). Robert to pay the monks one pound of incense annually. Saving episcopal rights. (24 June 1199). Omnibus Christi fidelibus ad quos presens scriptum pervenerit Herbertus dei gracia Sar[] episcopus salutem in domino Sicut ex inspexione carte Willelmi venerabilis beate Marie de Tuttesbir[] prioris ejusdemque loci conventus attendimus de ejusdem prioris et conventus concessione et donacione Robertus de Mara clericus decimas suas de Stanford[] sub annua solucione unius libre thuris eidem priori et conventui facienda est assecutus Nos vero concessionem illam ratam habentes et gratam prefatas decimas dicto Roberto sicut canonice et racionabiliter est eas adeptus auctoritate pontificali confirmamus Salvis tamen in omnibus jure auctoritate et dignitate ecclesie nostre et nostra et successorum nostrorum Dat[] apud Rammeb[] per manum W de Wynton[] viii Kalend[] Julii pontificatus nostri anno vi Hiis testibus
