284 Pro seperali ibidern The burgesses of Shrewsbury, in return for f20, allow the abbot and convent to enclose the land belonging to its grange of Derfald and exclude the burgesses from their rights of common except on a certain piece of heath which lies in length between the ditch running from Shrewsbury and the Great Slade towards Pimley, and in breadth between the road leading to Haughmond and the bank of the Severn. They also concede that the abbey may retain Derfald millpond as it was in January 1256 (1256). (Grant, , SHROPSHIRE (ENGLAND)) Givers: Burgesses of Shrewsbury Receivers: Haughmond Abbey
