127 Final concord between Matilda Basset widow of Reginald Basset, plaintiff, and Robert of Leicester, defendant, concerning a moiety of the manor of Wolvey (Warw) which she claimed as her dower. Robert conceded to Matilda as dower all his share of Reginald's inheritance in Scagglethorpe (Yorks, ER), with a moiety of the chief messuage, plus 2 marks of rent in Wolvey, and in return Matilda quitclaimed all her dower rights in the residue of all the land which belonged to Reginald. Hec est finalis concordia facta in curia domini regis apud Oxon[] die dominica proxima ante festum sancti Gregorii anno regni regis Henrici filii regis Johannis undecimo coram Stephano de Segrave Willelmo filio Warini Waltero de Bello Campo Radulfo Musard Waltero le Poer justic[] itinerantibus et aliis domini regis fidelibus tunc ibi presentibus inter Matildam Basset petentem per Rogerum Pictavensem positum loco ipsius Matilde ad lucrandum vel perdendum et Robertum de Leycestr[] tenentem de tota medietate manerii de Wulveye cum pertinentiis quam ipsa clamavit esse rationabilem dotem suam de libero tenemento quod fuit Reginaldi Basset quondam viri sui in eadem villa et unde placitum fuit inter eos in prefata curia scilicet quod predictus Robertus concessit predicte Matilde totam partem suam que eum contingit de proparte sua de hereditate que fuit predicti Reginaldi Basset in Scakethorp cum medietate capitalis mesuagii cum omnibus pertinentiis suis in omnibus rebus absque ullo retenemento in eadem villa Et preterea idem Robertus concessit eidem Matilde duas marcatas redditus per annum in Wlveye scilicet de Rogero de Cant[]lupo sex solidos et tres denarios de Willelmo Apostoille sex solidos et tres denarios de Willelmo Ingel[o]t sex solidos et tres denarios de Nicolao Brid sex solidos et tres denarios de Rogero Sivekere viginti denarios recipiendas per annum ad tres terminos scilicet ad festum sancti Michaelis octo solidos et undecim denarios et ad festum purificationis beate Marie octo solidos et undecim denarios et ad nativitatem sancti Johannis baptiste octo solidos et d[ec]em denarios tenend ipsi Matilde tota vita sua nomine dotis de predicto Roberto et heredibus suis faciendo inde forinsecum servitium quantum pertinet ad tantum tenementum in eisdem villis Et preterea idem Robertus dedit eidem Matilde tres marcas argenti Et pro hac concessione fine et concordia predicta Matilda remisit et quietum clamavit de se predicto Roberto et heredibus suis et omnibus libere tenentibus suis et heredibus eorum totum jus et clamium quod habuit in superplusio totius terre que fuit predicti Reginaldi Basset quondam viri sui nomine dotis Et sciendum quod predicti Rogerus de Cant[]lupo et w[i]llelmus Aposto[il]le et Willelmus Ingelot et Nicolaus Brid et Rogerus Sivekere presentes fuerunt in curia et congnoverunt se debere predictum redditum
