Omnibus presentibus Thomas filius Osberti salutem Noveritis me vendidisse domino Warino abbati et conventui de Sallai terram meam in Mikelgate scilicet a porta eorum monachorum quantum terra mea durat versus suth in longitudine et latitudine cum domibus in ea positis et gardino tenend et habend libere et quiete inperpetuum ab omni seculari exaccione pro undecim marcis argenti et dimidia quas michi pre manibus dederunt reddendo inde annuatim et heredibus meis unum denarium tantum Et ego Thomas tactis sacrosanctis juravi pro me et pro heredibus meis quod nuncquam movebimus clamium vel calumpniam predictis monachis de predicta terra vel ejus pertinenciis sed fideliter warantizabimus et defendemus contra omnes inperpetuum Et est sciendum quod si prefati monachi pro defectu warancie nostre terram illam perdiderint ego et heredes mei eisdem monachis xx libras argenti sine malo ingenio sicut juravi persolvemus Testibus W priore sancte Trinitatis Ada Flur Hugone de Selebi et aliis
