Sciant omnes praesentes et futuri quod ego Henricus Scarpinges dedi concessi et hac praesenti carta me confirmasse Deo et beato Germano de Selby et monachis ibidem Deo servientibus tres acras terrae cum pertinentiis in territorio de Brayton[] quas habui et dono Walteri de Aula et omnes alias terras quas habeo vel adquirere possim a tempore istius confirmacionis et medietatem omnium catallorum meorum mobilium et immobilium quae in vita mea adquisiero post obitum a praedictis monachis percipiendis Actum est anno gracie m cc xl quinto ad Purificacionem Beatae Mariae Virginis et in huius rei testimonium praesenti scripto sigillum meum apposui Hiis testibus Johanne Juuene Waltero de Aula etc
