Comment

Date: The P.R.O. copy of this entry is dated at Sees on 16 July 1199, as are all of John's charters to the Templars appearing on the same roll (Rot. ch. pp. 2-4). N no. 51 is dated on the 16th, but N no. 9 is dated like this charter on the 14th. Other of John's charters appearing on the Charter rolls were dated by Hubert Walter at Sees on the 14th (Rot. ch. p. 1). Calendar Regnal
