Comment

Date: The churches of Sherburn, Fenton and St. Maurice, Monkgate, were annexed to the prebend of Fenton.' An abstract of this licence is given in Lawton's Collections, p. 76 from Torre's MS, where the date is given incorrectly as 1269. A.D.
