Date: The annexation of the church of Knaresborough to the prebend of Bichill was ordained by the archbishop, 13 Nov. 1230.1 The name of the prebend was changed as a result. In the extent of c. 1295 the prebendary of Knaresborough held a garden which was the site of the capital dwelling house belonging to the prebend cd Bickill. I V.C.H. Yorks., ii, pp. 213, 280-1.2 E.
