245 Exchange in the form of a chirograph between the canons of Dale and Hugo son of Robert of Muskham and Idonea his wife. The canons demise to Hugo and Idonea for the term of their lives, to increase their meadowland of Westmedue, an enclosed part of the aldergrove called le Berneker, which Hugo and Idonea had by way of exchange from Henry and Matthew sons of Amicia of Stanton and which is of the fee of the canons, at an annual render to the canons of a pair of white gloves. Hugo and Idonea have granted the canons the reversion of the whole meadow of West-medue after their death, as well as five selions and the whole park. Noverint universi quod anno domini m cc lx tercio ita convenit inter abbatem et conventum de Parco Stanleye ex una parte et Hugonem filium Roberti de Muskham in Stanton[] et Ydoneam uxorem ejus ex altera videlicet quod predicti abbas et conventus dimiserunt et concesserunt eidem Hugoni et Ydonee vel cuicumque eorum diucius vixerit tantum unam placeam de alneto suo quod dicitur le Berneker prout inclusa fuit anno supradicto per fossatum ad incrementum prati sui de Westmedue quod ante habuerunt de Henrico et Matheo filii Amicie de Stanton[] per escambium et est de feodo dictorum canonicorum habend et tenend dictis Hugoni et Ydonee vel cuicumque eorum diucius vixerit set non heredibus eorum nec assignatis libere quiete pacifice reddendo inde annuatim dictis canonicis die assumpcionis beate Marie unum par albarum cyrotecarum apud la Dale Pro hac autem dimissione et concessione dicti Hugo et Ydonea concesserunt et dederunt post decessum eorum dictis canonicis totam illam placeam de Westmedue circumfessatam quam habuerunt sicut dictum est de dictis Henrico et Matheo et ad majorem securitatem scripta excambii que exinde habuerunt de dictis Henrico et Matheo dictis canonicis tradiderunt et quinque seliones a latere orientali et precipue totum parcum illud sine ullo retenemento sicut inclusum anno supranotato et super hoc dictis canonicis cartam feofamenti fecerunt Non poterunt dicti Hugo et Ydonea vel eorum alter de dicto parco integro aliquid alicui dare vendere legare invadiare vel aliquo alio modo a dictis canonicis alienare sine eorumdem canonicorum speciali voluntate Set post decessum dictorum Hugonis et Ydonee tam illa placea predicta del Westmedue quam illa del Berneker et illi quinque seliones predicti et precipue totum parcum predictum integrum ad dictos canonicos sine alicujus calumpnia seu contradiccione plenarie revertetur In hujus rei testimonium diverse partes diversis hujus scripti cyrograffati partibus alternatim sua signa apposuerunt Hiis testibus etc
