Abstract: 16 Inspeximus and confirmation by Roger de Weseham, bishop of Coventry and Lichfield, of the composition between the Priory and Robert de Stretton, rector of Duffield (Db.) over the tithes of the assarts made in that parish. The Priory resigns all claims on these tithes and on all other tithes, except for the tithes of pannage, hunting and honey of Duffield Forest and the tithes of the old demesne in the parish, in exchange for an annual payment of 10 pounds sterling. The composition made with the assent of William de Ferrers III, earl of Derby, patron of both churches. Saving episcopal rights.
