Abstract: 246 ORIGINAL CHARTER (BM Harl. 49 D 52) Quitclaim by Geoffrey of Dethick to the canons of Dale of all his tenement in Stanton with the services of his free tenants and villeins, to be held in alms of the capital lords of the fee. He delivered to the canons the charters of the said capital lords well as the charter of Elias Fulcher of Osmaston by whom he was enfeoffed of the tenement. Abstract: John, son of John of Denton, grants common pasture in his pasture of Denton to the canons and their three tenants at Holm between Polkedith and Polterteman, in summer outside the dykes and other enclosures and after corn and hay harvest inside and outside, reserving to the grantor the right to enclose his future assarts. The grantor quit claims the Holm from seed-time to 1 November, allowing access for any sheepfold there. Arrangements are laid down in case of trespass by the cattle of either party on the other's crops.
