      F. Dei gratia comes Flandrie et Hanonie, amicis suis omnibus bailivis Anglie et portuum maris custodibus, salutem et sincere dilectionis plenitudinem. Universitati vestre notum facio quod fratres de Dunis in Flandria quos pre ceteris religiosis speciali vinculo dilectionis amplector, cum omnibus rebus suis et hominibus sub mea protectione consistunt, ita quod ubique eorum felicitati et paci, sicut debeo, sum providere paratus. Inde est quod eos specialiter dilectioni ac fidei vestre committo, humiliter pro ipsis vos rogans in Domino, quandocumque, pro navibus suis reparandis seu ceteris persequendis negotiis ad vos diverterint, benigne eos nostri gratia suscipiatis, ut apud vos liberum obtineant introilum et regressum , et super quacumque re vos requisierint, promptos ac fideles vos inveniant adjutores. Quicquid autem beneficii et auxilii predictis fratribus nostri causa contuleritis, totum mihi factum reputabo, paratus cum tempus ingruerit, condignam vobis reddere cam gratiarum actiono compensationem.
