    Whereas a peticion preferred to bis Maiesty by the Agent of the Hanse townes concerning the Stiliard was by his Maiesty referred to the Lord Archbishop of Canterbury, Üie Lord Keeper,

    Ihe Lord priuie Seale, the Earle Marshall and the two Secretaries of State, their Lordships after longe debate of the cause, finding bothe by the allegations of the petitioner and the testimonye of the Marcheants Aduenturers, that his Maiestys subiecls at Hambrow and in those parts were fauorably treated and enyoied many priuileges, theire Lordships did thincke fit and ordre, that stay should be made of anie further prosecution of the informacion in the Exchequer, grownded vpon the inquisition taken in London in June 1632, and that there shall noe further proceeding be had vpon the said inquisition, but that the Marcbants of the said Hansetownes shall quietly enioy the Guild and Siiliard with the appurtenances there into, as longe as the fayre vsagie of his Maiestys subiects in those parts shall invite his Maiestys fauour and grace to the said Hansetownes. Whereof his Maiestys Attornie Generali is prayed and required to take notice. Lastly his Maiestie being made acquainted with this ordre, did confirme the [same, and commanded that it should be entered in the councel booke. :g Entr. Will. Becker.
