    INicolaus I. papa laetus factus super his, quae sibi relata fuerunt, scilicet de conversione gentis Bulgarorum et Moraviae, et de reliquiis inventis s. dementia; mirabatur tamen ex alia parte, quod ausi fuissent sacerdotes domini horas canonicas in Sclavonico decantare; quapropter manda vit per literas apostolicas illos QConstantinum scilicet philosophum, postea Cyrillum nominatum, et fratrem ejus MethodiumJ ad se venire Romara.
