    Universis presentes litteras visuris et audituris nos Johannes do- minus de Kuic notum facimus, quod vidimus et interfuimus Colonie

    in domo civium, ubi Jacobus de Mirlar miles et Jacobus de Appel- 1297 deir, consanguinei nostri, de homicidio perpetrato quondam in domino Jacobo de Mirlar milite in civitate Coloniensi, dum contlictus fuerat ante foramen, renuneiationeiu fecerunt et orvedam ac prestiteruut iuramentum tactis sacrosanctis pro se, consauguineis eorum et amicis natis et nascituris, quod vindictam de biis non facient contra civi- tatem et cives Colonienses in futurum. Super biis in testimonium atque fidem sigillum nostrum duximus prcsentibus apponendum. Nos vero Jacobus de Mirlar et Jacobus de Appeldeir predicti omnia et singula premissa vera esse recognoscentes sub sigillo presentibus ap- penso nos astringimus ad obscrvantiam eorundem sine dolo.

    Datum anno domini millesimo CCmo nonagesimo septimo, in die beati Andree apostoli.
