    Willelmus dei gratia Romanorum Rex semper Augustus. Vniuersis 125o sacri Imperii fidelibus presentes litteras inspecturis gratiam suam et omne bonum. Deuota obsequia nostrorum fidelium manifestis operum indiciis comprobata tanto debemus libentius largitatis nostre mune- ribus compensare, quanto Celsitudini nostre grata exhibentur pariter et accepta. Nam in boc precipue bonor Regis extollitur et seruatur, ut deuotos et fideles suos ratione Imperii sibi subiectos in quiete pacis dirigat et in iustitie uigore conseruet. Attendentes itaquc sin- cere fidei puritatem, quam dilecti fideles nostri Ciues Colonienses erga nostram Celsitudinem ab exordio creationis nostre communiter habuerunt et gratissima obsequia nobis impensa per eos ac uolentes ipsos uberiori prosequi gratia et fauore, ipsis omnes libertates eorum iura et priuilegia eis a diuis Imperatoribus et Regibus Romanis pre- decessoribus nostris aut ab archiepiscopis siue quibuscumque personis iuste et pie concessa, nec non et bonas et approbatas consuetudines et honestas tenore presentium confirmamus ea omnia promittentes rata habere et firma.
