      Wilhelmus dei gratia comes Hollandie. Universis presens scriptum visuris salutem in domino et cognoscere veritatem. Cum dominus in sancta ecclesia diversa providet remedia pecca- torum, ut quod propriis meritis non possumus, aliorum meritis consequamur, nos ad nostram et antecessorum nostrorum salu- tare remedium, ut speramus, ius patronatus ecclesie in Val- kenburg et Maselant, quod ad nos spectabat, domui Teutonice Iherosolymitane contulimus perpetuo possidendum. Quod ut sciant presentes et posteri et factum nostrum firmum et stabile perseveret, presentem paginam sigillo nostro sigillatam eidem domui contulimus in facti memoriam et munimen.

      Presentes fuerunt: Balduinus comes de Benthem. Floren- tius frater noster. Wilhelmus de Teilingen. Nicolaus Persin. Theodericus de Wassenaer. Hugo dictus Freso, et alii plures.
