Confirmation by Richard Fitz Neal bishop of London to the canons of the grants by Richard son of Robert of Alphamstone church and by Robert of Lambourne of Lambourne church (#00040213). At the canons' request the bishop has assigned for the hospice for the poor which they have built at Waltham annual pensions of 40 s. to be paid by each of the perpetual vicars who, after the death or resignation of Richard de Beauchamp and of Luke Burcus incumbents of Alphamstone and Lambourne respectively, will be presented by the canons and will minister in these two churches. The two vicars shall have for maintenance the fruits and offerings of their churches and shall discharge all the obligations pertaining to their churches. Abstract: 12. Final concord made in the curia regis before H[ubert], archbishop of Canter- bury, and his fellow justices between Maurice of Dodnash, claimant, and Wimer the chaplain, defendant, concerning all the land in Dodnash with appurtenances which was held by Maurice's brother William son of Hervey, whereby Maurice demised and quitclaimed in perpetuity to Wimer and to the religious men there serving God and the Blessed Virgin, in free, pure and perpetual alms, all right and claim in William's land in Dodnash. For this concord and quitclaim Wimer gave Maurice forty marks of silver.
