At vero caeteri, qui meliori sensu erant veluti praelati, quorum magna pars illic erat, utpote Melicensis, Gottwicensis etc., qui melioris in caesarem fidei et animi erant, tantam caesaris oblationem et humanitatem non contemnendam, ad illum foras eundem in castra1 censuerunt.

1 Kaiser Friedrich III. lagerte damals seit Aug. 22 ohne Einlass zu finden vor Wien, wo im Juli ein Landtag zusammengetreten war (Keiblinger, Melk I/I, 641). Irrthümlich führt dagegen Behaim den Abt von Göttweig als bösen Prälaten auf: her Mert abt von Koettweie - stund auch den schelken peie (Karajan. Michel Behaim. Buch v. d. Wienern, S. 218).
