Abt Peter scheint vor seinem Tode seine Würde freiwillig oder gezwungen niedergelegt zu haben, da das ältere Necrologium bei dem 9. Februar folgende Angabe hat: V. Idus Februarii obiit Petrus, monachus et sacerdos, quondam abbas huius domus.Petrus I. praefuit annis 18, obiit anno 1385. Habuit beneficium et Ebertum Austrium regem Romanorum et ejusdem conjugem Elisabethem (=) Stiftskatalog.Petrus I. juris publica peritissimus ab Alberto primo e stirpe Austriaca imperatore ad secreta consilia et suscepta, pro bono publico itinera adhibitus praeter alia complura beneficia ab eo largam salis massam quo annis in perpetuum a successoribus pendendam accepit.
