Necdum enim licitum erat cuiquam feminarum sancti Bertini ingredi monasterium, nefasque putabatur si vel ecclesia? aliqua furtim subintrasset atrium1.

    Markam vero ejus filii ejus inter se diviserunt; et Arnullus, qui major natu erat, Flandriam; Adalolpbus vero civitatem Bononiam et regionem Taruennicam, pariterque sancti Bertini suscepit abba- tiam.
