17. říjen 1575, Malta
Velmistr johanitského řádu Jan Cassiera de Levesque píše Václavu Zajíci z Hazmburka, převoru českého převorství, že po smrti Kryštofa Zikmunda Römera (Reymer) jmenoval komturem v Meilbergu (Meylberge) Jana z Mettichu, žádá ho, aby tomuto komturovi poskytoval pomoc a ochranu, a vedle toho nařizuje, aby byly bratřím doručeny obsílky v souvislosti s útokem nevěřících, očekávaným příští rok.
