Abt Dietrich und das Godehardikloster in Hildesheim bezeugen den Tausch von dreieinhalb Hufen aus ihrem Besitz in Mahlum, welche Ludolf von Lutter von ihnen zu Lehen trug, gegen drei Hufen in Rode im Besitz des Michaelisklosters, welche Ritter Konrad von Rode von Abt Ernst und dem Michaeliskloster zu Lehen trug. In nomine patris et filii et spiritus sancti amen. Thidericus dei gratia abbas totusque conventus monasterii sancti Godehardi in Hildensem omnibus in perpetuum. Quoniam temporis prolixitas aut malignantium perversitas aliquando solet res laudabiliter actas variis calumpniis infirmare, necessitas exigit, ut res geste scriptis autenticis memorie commendentur. Hinc siquidem constare volumus tam posteris quam presentibus, quod dominus Conradus miles dictus de Novali tres mansos sitos in Novali, quos a monasterio sancti Michaelis in Hildensem iure tenuit feodali, venerabili viro domino Ernesto abbati eiusdem monasterii quantum ad ius dictum voluntarie resignavit. Nos vero, cupientes eosdem tres mansos in nostram cedere proprietatem, permutationem fecimus talem, ut tres mansi et dimidius siti in Maldem, quos dominus L. dictus de Luttere et sui heredes a nobis tenebant, quantum ad ius feodi cederent monasterio sancti Michaelis, et illi tres mansi siti in Novali iam prefati in nostram cederent libertatem. In cuius rei testimonium presens scriptum sigillorum nostrorum appensionibus duximus roborare. Testes huius rei sunt Johannes, Bertoldus, Conradus, sacerdotes et monachi sancti Godehardi, et reliqui fratres eiusdem conventus, Widekindus prior, Hermannus, Johannes, sacerdotes et monachi sancti Michaelis, et reliqui fratres eiusdem conventus. Acta sunt hec anno domini M°CC°LXVIII°, XVII. kalendas decebris [sic].||
