Hec est conuentio facta inter Galfridum decanum et capitulum sancti Pauli Lond ex parte una et Stephanum de Boinne ciuem Lond ex altera inter quos contentio fuit de purprestura quam idem Stephanus fecit in cimiterio sancti Nicholai Bernardi super cimiterium eiusdem ecclesie in quo Stephanus edificauerat post noue operationis nuntiationem sibi factam per predictos decanum et capitulum Predictus Stephanus de facto predicto penitens licet de precepto suo factum non fuisset ut dicebat iurauit stare mandatis predictorum decani et capituli de purprestura predicta et consensit prouisione ipsorum quod stante et durante edificio in purprestura predicta facto siue non durante ipse et heredes sui uel successores quicumque successerunt in tenemento predicto reddent deo et ecclesie beati Nicholai et eiusdem ecclesie rectori duodecim denarios annuos in principali festo Sancti Nicholai super altare ipsius ecclesie inperpetuum Ad cuius census solutionem sine omni cauillatione et diffugio et excusatione faciendum predictus Stephanus obligauit se et heredes suos omnesque suos successores illud idem tenementum successiue possessuros ad distringendum per ecclesiasticam censuram tam per excommunicationis quam per interdicti sentenciam appellatione remota terminis memoratis Nec licebit predicto Stephano uel heredibus suis uel suis successoribus aliquod hostium facere uersus predictum cimiterium uel inferiorem aperturam et si factum fuerit obstruetur Concessit etiam predictus Stephanus quod si aliquo tempore contra premissa uenerit pena unius marce in personam eius commutatur Et ad maiorem securitatem huic scripto in modo cyrographi confecto sigilla sua alternatim apposuerunt et parti remanenti penes decanum et capitulum appositum est signum dicti Stephani et parti remanenti penes dictum Stephanum appositum est signum capituli Actum Lond in crastino palmarum anno gratie m cc quadraginta Hiis testibus Gerardo Bat tunc maiore Lond Radulfo de Essewy et Reynero de Bungey tunc uicecomitibus et aliis nominatis in carta
