Abstract
1177-07-28, WILTON, WILTSHIRE (ENGLAND)
287. Notification by Bartholomew, bishop of Exeter, and John [of Greenford], bishop of Chichester, judges-delegate of Pope Alexander III, that the dispute over the church of Cam between the abbeys of Reading and Gloucester, with Bristol Abbey assisting Reading, has been settled [details of the settlement as in no. 285]. This settlement was reached in the presence of King Henry II at Woodstock and is now confirmed by the judges-delegate at Wilton 28 July 1177 (AgreementSettlementCAM, GLOUCESTERSHIRE (ENGLAND)) Givers: Bartholomew (Bishop of Exeter Cathedral), John of Greenford (Bishop of Chichester Cathedral) Receivers: Reading Abbey, Gloucester - St. Peter's Abbey
