Notum sit [etc] quod ego Hugo de Nuiers et Willelmus filius meus et heres meus communi consilio et pari consensu concessimus et dedimus ecclesie Sancte Marie de Messenden et canonicis in perpetuam elemosinam uirgatam terre de Piterleia quam Leuenadus faber tenuit cum incremento quod feci de nemore meo eidem uirgate terre quando primum illam dedi canonicis secundum signa que feci fieri per ipsum nemus Hanc uirgatam terre cum suo incremento optulimus super altare per buxeam uirgam ego et predictus filius meus Anno dominice incarnationis m c lxj die ascentionis nominatim pro decima quam concessi eis post obitum patris mei scilicet denariorum de censu meo de Messenden liberam et quietam ab omni seruitio et consuetudine et exactione que solent fieri ad opus regis siue comitis siue nostrum prepositum Testibus
