262. Final concord between prior Simon [of Colesden] and Richard de Houghton concerning 3 messuages, 1 1/2 virgates, 25 ac. arable land and 3 ac. meadow in Stilton. Richard de Houghton recognises the prior's right to these lands by his own grant. The prior grants to Richard de Houghton for life a toft and one of the messuages, in question. 10 February 1261. Hec est finalis concordia facta in curia domini regis apud Hunted[] a die Sancti Hillarii in unum mensem anno regni regis Henrici filii regis Johannis quadragesimo quinto coram Nicholao de Turr[] Nicholao de Haulow et Ade de Grenuil[] justiciariis itinerantibus et aliis domini regis fidelibus tunc ibi presentibus inter Simonem priorem de Bisshemade querentem et Ricardum de Houton impedientem de tribus mesuagiis una uirgata et dimidia uiginti et quinque acris terre et tribus acris prati cum pertinenciis in Stilton[] vnde placitum warancie carte summonitum fuit inter eos in eadem curia scilicet quod predictus Ricardus recognouit predicta tenementa esse ius ipsius prioris et ecclesie sue de Bisshemade ut illa que idem prior et ecclesia sua predicta habent de dono ipsius Ricardi habend et tenend eidem priori et successoribus suis et ecclesie sue predicte de predicto Ricardo et heredibus suis in liberam et perpetuam elemosinam in perpetuum faciendo inde capitalibus dominis feodi illius pro predicto Ricardo et heredibus suis omnia seruicia que ad predicta tenementa pertinent Et predictus Ricardus et heredes sui warantizabunt predicto priori successoribus suis et ecclesie sue predicte predicta tenementa cum pertinenciis per predicta seruicia ut liberam et perpetuam elemosinam suam contra omnes homines in perpetuum Et pro hac recognicione warantie fine et concordia idem prior concessit eidem Ricardo unum mesuagium et unum tuftum cum pertinenciis in eadem uilla scilicet illa mesuagium et tuftum que aliquando fuerunt Roberti de Aumenyl habend et tenend eidem Ricardo de predicto priore successoribus suis et ecclesia sua predicta tota uita ipsius Ricardi faciendo inde omnia seruicia que ad predicta mesuagium et tuftum pertinent Et post decessum ipsius Ricardi predicta mesuagium et tuftum reuertentur ad predictum priorem successores suos et ecclesiam suam predictam quiete de heredibus ipsius Ricardi in perpetuum
