Hec est conuentio facta inter magistrum Willelmum Joce rectorem ecclesie sancti Michelis Suthampton ex una parte et Andream de Portesmuth ex altera uidelicet quod dictus Willelmus tradidit et concessit ad perpetuam feodi firmam dicto Andree unum mesuagium cum suis pertinentiis in uilla Suthampton quod fuit aliquando Galfridi le Taillour quod quidem mesuagium situm est inter domum Rogeri Rubei ex parte boriali et domum Ricardi de Thrukelestone ex parte australi in uico francisco in parochia dicte ecclesie sancti Michelis habend et tenend dictum mesuagium cum suis pertinentiis ad perpetuam feodi firmam dicto Andree et heredibus suis de dicta ecclesia sancti Michelis libere et quiete pacifice et integre imperpetuum quamdiu firmam impositam bene reddiderint ac domos et edificia ne firma depereat sustentauerint reddendo inde annuatim ecclesie beati Dionisii iuxta Suthampton decem et octo denarios de langabulo ad quatuor anni terminos uidelicet et Domui Dei Suthampton undecim solidos et decem denarios ad quatuor anni terminos uidelicet singulis terminis prescriptis duos solidos undecim denarios et obolum et dicto Willelmo nomine dicte ecclesie et successoribus suis rectoribus eiusdem ecclesie qui pro tempore fuerint dimidiam marcam argenti ad quatuor anni terminos scilicet singulis terminis supradictis viginti denarios pro omni seruitio et seculari demanda Dictus uero Willelmus et successores sui rectores dicte ecclesie qui pro tempore fuerint dictam traditionem et concessionem dicto Andree et heredibus suis contra omnes gentes imperpetuum warantizabunt acquietabunt et defendent Et ut hec concessio et perpetue feodi firme traditio perpetue firmitatis robur optineant partes predicte huic scripto in modum cirographi facto sigilla sua alternatim apposuerunt et sigillum Nicholai prioris sancti Dionisii iuxta Suthampton una cum sigillo conuentus eiusdem loci dicte ecclesie patronorum qui huic traditioni assensum prebuerunt apponi procurauerunt Hiis testibus Bernardo de Totenays Andrea de Cruce tunc balliuis Suthampton Nicholao Beket Henrico le Flemeng Nicholao de Bareflut Willelmo Thom Roberto Bonheyt etc et multis aliis Datum anno domini millesimo cclxx mense Iulii
