[1197-00-00 - 1198-00-00], TOWCESTER, NORTHAMPTONSHIRE (ENGLAND)
Final concord in the court of William de Muntchensy at Towcester between the Priory and John son of Roger the engineer. John quitclaimed to the Priory all the land in Silverstone of the fee of Towcester, which he held of Richard de Hinton, and which the Priory had deraigned in Richard de Hinton's court by royal precept. The Priory granted to John and his heirs half this land except the tenement of Hawise to hold of them for 4s. 6p. yearly, saving relief and forinsec service. They further granted him the house in which his father was living, and half the meadow that Osbert the reeve held. John shall not give, sell or pledge without the consent of the Priory.
