Notification by Simon [II] earl of Northampton to the dean and chapter that he has granted to the church of Lincoln and bishop Robert [II] the meadow near Northampton, which is called Fordales, namely one mark of rent, in compensation for the render of the church of Sawtry [co. Huntingdon] which the bishop and chapter quitclaimed to him for the founding of Sawtry abbey, and that the meadow shall be free of render.
