Reverendo domino ac patri suo Alexandro dignatione divina summo pontifici Rogerus Wigornensis ecclesiae minister indignus et Galfredus Herefordensis decanus cum salute pronam debitae subjectionis denotationem Controversia habita inter venerabilem fratrem nostrum J Sarum episcopum et Willelmum filium Alexandri super quibusdam terris quas tenuerat pater ipsius in sok Poterne et Canninges a serenitate vestra nobis delegata transactione interveniente finem accepit Cujus transactionis rescriptum a vestra sanctitate confirmandum ut transactio jam dicta firmitatis robur obtineat duximus dirigendum paternitati vestrae Tenorem autem transactionis series subsequentium manifesta docebit Praefatus episcopus ut Willelmus a lite recederet eidem centum solidos et praeterea medietatem terrae Azonis fratris praedicti Willelmi cum omnibus pertinentiis consensu ipsius Azonis exceptis managiis duobus quorum unum scilicet capitale managium quod est in Wrton Azo sibi retinuit et Willelmus habebit managium quod mater ipsius habet in Poterna reddendo annuatim dimidiam libram piperis et dimidiam thuris pro omni servitio [etc] Facta sunt haec anno ab incarnatione Domini m C lxxiii xvi kal Novembris apud Bathoniam Testibus Willelmo abbate de Kainesham [etc]
