Universis sanctae matris ecclesiae filiis praesentes literas visuris vel audituris Ricardus Dei gratia Dunelmensis episcopus salutem in Domino Volentes quantum in nobis est jura Sarum ecclesiae integra conservari ne in posterum aut oblivione deleantur aut pravorum hominum fraude subvertantur universitati vestrae notum facimus quod cum in praefata ecclesia Sarum pastorali officio fungeremur Hugo de Sampford miles concessionem et donationem quandam pie et pure pro se et haeredibus suis fecit eidem ecclesiae Sarum et nobis et successoribus nostris in ipsa ecclesia substituendis mediante carta sue cujus tenor talis est [...] Nos autem tempore quo praedictae Sarum ecclesiae profuimus praescriptam donationem et concessionem ratam habuimus Et quicquid juris nos vel successores nostri per eandem concessionem vel donationem habuimus vel processu temporis consequi potuimus communae Sarum ecclesiae dedimus et assignavimus in perpetuum Et in hujus rei testimonium huic scripto sigillum nostrum apponi fecimus Datum apud Tarent per manum Valentini capellani nostri anno gratiae m cc xxxiii 14 Kalendas Maii
