986 Concordia facta pro triginta acris ibidem. Agreement made in the shire court whereby Reiner son of Wm. quitclaims 30 a. which he had claimed by writ of right. In return the abbey gave him l8s.; received him, his wife, and his heirs into their fraternity; and conceded that Reiner, should he wish to enter the abbey, would receive a lay brother's food and clothing (10 Mar. 1190). Hec est concordia facta in comitatu Salop[] die Sabbati proxima ante festum S Gregorii pape Anno primo coronacionis regis Ricardi Willelmo filio Alani tunc vicecomite inter Ricardum abbatem et conventum de Haghmon[] et Reinerum filium Willelmi burgensis de xxx acris terre in campis de Coleham quas ipse Reinerus petiit versus predictum abbatem et conventum per breve domini Regis de recto sed quod predictus Reinerus quietum clamavit inperpetuum pro anima eius et pro animabus antecessorum deo et ecclesie de Haghmon[] et predicto abbati et conventui deo ibidem servientibus prenominatas xxx acras de se et heredibus suis Et ipse abbas et conventus recepit ipsum Reinerum et Isabellam uxorem suam et heredes suos in fraternitatem suam Et si predictus Reinerus vitam suam mutare voluerit et ad domum de Haghmon[] venire prenominatus abbas et conventus ei victum et vestitum sicuti cuidam conversorum suorum sufficienter invenient Pro hac nostra concordia prefatus abbas et conventus dederunt mihi Reinero xviii s Hiis testibus Johanne Extraneo Roberto Corbet Fulcone de Abbatia
