Walter [Mauclerc], bishop of Carlisle, institutes W. of Milburn, presented by W[alter?] the prior and the canons of Lanercost, to the vicarage of Irthington, laying down that the vicar is to have all the altarage with the corn tithes of the vill of Irthington, the land belonging to Irthington church, and tithes of the hay and the mills of the whole parish and all lesser tithes belonging to the altarage, reserving to the prior and canons three skeps of flour and two of malt; the vicar is to bear the usual ordinary dues. Omnibus presentes litteras inspecturis vel audituris w[alterus] miseratione divina Karl[] ecclesie minister humilis salutem in Domino Noverit universitas vestra nos ad presentationem dilectorum in Christo filiorum W prioris et canonicorum de Lanrecost dilectum in Christo filium W de Meleburne ad vicariam ecclesie de Erthington[] caritatis intuitu admisisse et eundem in eadem vicarium canonice instituisse que vicaria in hunc modum est taxata Videlicet quod dictus vicarius habebit nomine vicarie totum altaragium cum tota decima bladi predicte ville de Yrthington[] cum tota terra ad dictam ecclesiam de Yrthington pertinente cum decima feni et molendinorum totius parochie et cum omnibus minutis decimis ad altaragium spectantibus salvis dictis priori et canonicis annuatim iii eskeppis farine et duabus eskeppis brasii pro omnibus Predictus vero vicarius onera ordinaria assueta in dicta ecclesia sustinebit Et in huius rei testimonium has litteras nostras predicto fieri fecimus patentes Datum apud Karl[] die sancti Stephani pontificatus nostri anno secundo
