96. WILLOUGHBY, BONTHORPE Agreement between William son of Robert of Well and William son of Robert of Willoughby. William of Well and his villeins of Bonthorpe had a path through the middle of William of Willoughby's courtyard, for going on foot and for carrying a bier to Willoughby church and from there to Bonthorpe. William of Well now quitclaims the path and any rights in it in that courtyard to William of Willoughby, who may block it by a wall or dike or in any other way. In return he demises to William of Well and his villeins a path as above, six feet wide, beginning on the east side of Brakenholm, crossing to Kyrkefen where they used to go, then to the causeway among the willows south of the cow pasture, then to the west garden on the north side of Willoughby manor house, across the garden on the west bank of the dike, across the road to Willoughby church stile next to the rector's gate, to come and go freely, saving to William of Willoughby the soil of the path. (Agreement, BONTHORPE, LINCOLNSHIRE (ENGLAND)) Givers: William son of Robert of Well Receivers: William son of Robert of Willoughby
