36 Final concord, following an assize of mort d'ancestor, whereby William de Costentin, plaintiff, recognized that 15 acres, a half acre of meadow, a half virgate and one toft, all in Pytchley, belonged to Richard Basset (11) defendant. In return Richard granted William a hatf virgate and 2 acres of other land in exchangefor a messuage. Hec est finalis concordia facta in curia domini regis apud Westmon[] die sancti Elphegi anno rengni regis Ricardi vj coram domino H Cantuariensis archiepiscopo R Lond[] episcopo Gilleberto Ruff[] episcopo Osberto filio Hervi Willelmo de Warenh[] Ricardo de Heriad Thoma de Huseburne justic[] domini regis et multis aliis fidelibus domini regis ibidem tunc presentibus inter Willelmum de Constantin petentem et Ricardum Basset tenentem de xv acris terre et dimidia acra prati et dimidia virgata terre et j tofto cum pertinentiis in Peytisle unde recongnitio de morte antecessoris summonita fuerit[] inter eos in prefata curia silicet quod predictus Willelmus recongnovit omnem predictam terram esse [de] jus et hereditatem predicti Ricardi Basset et heredum suorum et eam quietam clamavit inperpetuum de se et heredibus suis eidem Ricardo et heredibus suis Et pro hac quieta clamantia et fine et concordia idem Ricardus Basset dedit predicto Willelmo dimidiam virgatam terre que fuit Ricardi Golde et ij acras terre in Osmundelon in exscambium cuiusdam mesuagii quod pertinuit ad illam terram tenend eidem Willelmo et heredibus suis de eo et heredibus suis per liberum servitium xij denariorum annuatim reddendorum ad festum sancti Michaelis pro omni servitio salvo forinseco servitio
