211 Agreement whereby Abbot Theobald and the convent of Tiron abbey, Perche, France, acting for Andwell priory (Hants), have settled all disputes with Alan Basset. They have remised to him what they had in the wood of Hook (Hants) and have granted him land in the field of the chapel of Mapledurwell (Hants), but have retained a third of a moor in Mapledurwell. Alan restored to them a horseway there. The quarrel over a half virgate there held by the priory's tenant Robert has been settled. [25 June 1223] (Agreement, MAPLEDURWELL, HAMPSHIRE (ENGLAND)) Givers: Theobald (Abbot of Tiron Abbey), Andwell Priory Receivers: Alan BassetSource Regest:
