Comment
Date: For date, see Hawise de Redvers's own charter, which Earl Wiliam witnesses (below, no. 118). Fleet was a demesne manor held by Hawise from at least 1158 (below, Appendix 1, no. 37) and presumably granted to her by her father, Earl Baldwin 1. In 1212 Hawise held Fleet of Earl William for knight service (Book of Fees, i, 93), confirmed in 1225-6 and 1235 x 1236 as the half-fee specified here, due from Christchurch (PRS, NS xliv, 1982, p 3 1; Book of Fees, i, 426)Charter on the DEEDS-homepage: http://deeds.library.utoronto.ca/charters/00790108
