35. Lease by Ranulf the smith and Edith his wife to the prior and convent for a term of ten years from Michaelmas 1226 of all the land which they hold of the prior of Holy Trinity, Ipswich, for an annual rent of 6d payable in four instalments. They have also leased to them the land in Bentley which they hold of Hugh Tolle- mache for three sowings, and for the same term half the proceeds of their wood of 'Scarbotewalle'. Date: Pandulph, bishop of Norwich, died at Rome on 16 September 1226. Edith is almost certainly one of the three daughters of Richard de Bruario of no. 3 1.
