Date: For the Pavilly family, see Loyd, Anglo-Norman Families, 77. In 1204-5 Tiffany, widow of Roger de Pavilly, was plaintiff for her dower in Hillington, Norf., her son Thomas, who had adhered to the king of France, being vouched to warranty [CRR iii, 183, 259]. The family held the manor of Stutton Hall, in Stutton, and in 1275 a Roger de Pavilly claimed free warren there. In 1311 the manor passed by fine to the Visdelou family [Copinger, Manors vi, 98; Rye, Fines, 64, nos 126, 135; 126, no. 4 1]. For the grant by William of Bramford to the priory of the hom- age and service of Thomas Lochon, see no. 12 1. Feast Regnal
