      In nomine sancte et individue Trinitatis in perpetuum. Ego Balduinus Dei gratia tam Flandrie quam Hainonie comes ad futuri cautelam et adversantium calumpmam reprimendam, universis fidelibus tam modernis quam posteris, presentis scripti pagina notificare curavi, quod fratribus ecclesie sancte Marie de Thosan, de quadringentis mensuris terre in Sutt- beveland, divine retribntionis respectu, sicut a felicis memorie avunculo meo Philippe comite, perpetua est indulta libertas, sic et ego, eadem libertate donata, ab omni consuetudinaria exactione que ceteris terris quacumque de causa solet imponi, plenariam absolutionem concessi. Hoc autem ne tempornm evolutione et posteritutis successu valeat in irritum revocari, quod sollempniter stabilivi, sigilli mei curavi munimine roborare. Actum anno Domini M". C°. XCVI". per manura Gerardi Brugensis prepositi et Flandrie cancellarii. Testes Joseph archydiaconus et Wulvinus notarius et alii multi.
