    Nos Udo miles de Scherfve, Emundus et Gobelo de Geilenkirgen, fratres eiusdem Udonis, Anselmus de Rode, Gobelo filius Reinardi Rumescuttele, Engilbertus filius Hermanni de Scherve, universis pre- sentes litteras visuris et audituris, notum facimus, quod Adolphus miles de Scherfve pure et plane reconciliatus est pro se ipso et pro omnibus amicis suis et consanguineis, vivis et defunctis, cum civitate et civibus Coloniensibus de sua captivitate ete.1)... ego Adolphus de Scherfve predictus sigillum meum pro me et pro universis consan- guineis meis predictis presentibus duximus apponendum. Et nos iurati predicti consanguinei prefati Adolphi contenti sumus sigillo eiusdem Adolphi et ad omnia premissa nos astringimus fide data.
