Das Kapitel von St. Florian bittet den König Mathias um Bewilligung einer neuen freien Propstwahl. Es waren 15 Priester im Stifte und 2 Professen in studiis. Prälat Wilhelm von Garsten und der Vizdom hatten beim Tode des Propstes Vitus Widmann gesperrt und inventiert.
